Description

For all heating purposes in concentrated areas, the Dyna-Glo® DELUX Double Tank Top Propane (LP) Heater - 9K-30K BTU is a smart choice.

How Much Heat Is Dispersed?

The Dyna-Glo DELUX Double Tank Top Propane (LP) Heater - 9K-30K BTU is a portable propane heater that can heat a 30-foot radius using a standard 20-pound propane tank. The small propane heater has a heat angled feature so you can use the heater in multiple directions. The portable propane heater allows 9,000 BTUs to 30,000 BTUs.

What Are BTUs?

This small propane heater is able to put out up to 30,000 BTUs of heat, but what are BTUs? BTU stands for British thermal unit and is a traditional unit of heat. Essentially, a British thermal unit is defined as the amount of heat that's required to heat one pound of water and increase the water's temperature by one degree Fahrenheit. For the metric system, the BTUs counterpart is commonly known as the calorie. The difference for the calorie is that it measures the amount of heat needed to raise the temperature of one gram of water by one degree Celsius. Interestingly, the British thermal unit’s part of the Imperial measuring system used by Americans because it was formulated by the British before they made the switch to the more commonly used metric measuring system in 1965. This is how Americans derived their current measuring system: it was brought over to the colonies by original British settlers.

Run Time

The Dyna-Glo DELUX Double Tank Top Propane (LP) Heater - 9K-30K BTU has a run time of up to 24 hours. And that's if the portable propane heater is running for 24 hours straight. If you're just using this small propane heater every now and then, it'll likely last much longer and save you a lot of propane compared to lower quality portable propane heaters. The propane tank for this portable Dyna-Glo propane heater is not included.
