Description

Keeping your family safe is essential. Home security alarms can be expensive, especially when you factor in the monthly fees. Nest® Secure Alarm System Starter Pack allows you to get the protection you need without paying a fortune.

What Comes in the Nest Secure Alarm System Starter Pack?

Each Nest Secure Alarm System Starter Pack comes with a base, two Nest Detect window or door sensors, and two Nest Tags for arming and disarming your system without the use of a passcode. The Nest base also acts as a keypad if you prefer punching in the security code. You can add accessories such as extra Nest Detect sensors, Nest Tags or Nest Cameras if you desire.

How Does Nest Secure Alarm Systems Work?

The Nest Secure Alarm works with your current Wi-Fi and cell phone system to protect your home from intruders. The base connects to Wi-Fi and your Nest app and works as a central unit for detection. The sensors which you can place on windows, doors, or walls for motion sensors, tell the system when a door or window is opened or when it detects movement. If the system is armed, you receive an alert, and your monitoring company is notified immediately.

How Is Nest Alarm System Different from Other Security Systems?

Other systems are hardwired into your home. They take individual sensors and keypads to activate and deactivate the alarms. With the Nest home alarm system, you install it yourself, and it's not hard-wired into the home's electrical and phone systems.

With Nest, if you want to open a door or window, you can do so without disarming the alarm. The quiet open button on the sensor allows you to deactivate just that sensor so you can use the door or window. It is an excellent feature for pet owners who may have to let a pet out in the middle of the night. With Nest, you also don't have to rush out of the house when you set the alarm. Simply arm the system and you have three minutes to leave the house.

Do You Have to Have a Long Term Monitoring Contract?

One of the more expensive parts of having a security system is the long-term contracts. With the Nest Secure Starter Pack, you don't have to purchase monitoring if you don't want it. Instead, all alerts go directly to your mobile device. You can contact the authorities. If you wish to additional monitoring, Nest and Brinks have partnered to offer a month-to-month plan for Nest users.
