No Office is Complete Without Post-it Super Sticky Notes

Post-It Notes are the ultimate office staple, used everywhere from meetings to design mockups. They've become so ubiquitous that a recent workplace study revealed that the average office worker gets an average of 11 notes per day on some type of Post-It pad, from Post-It Pop Up Notes and Super Sticky notes to full sticky Post-It Notes sheets.

What Surfaces Do Post-It Super Sticky Notes Stick To?

Post-It Super Sticky Notes adhere effortlessly to just about any surface, including white boards, binders, papers, corkboards and even fabric-covered cubicle wall panels. They hold fast to file cabinets, doors, windows and refrigerators, removing quickly and easily without leaving any sticky residue behind.

How Do Post-It Notes Stick to Surfaces Without Leaving Residue?

Post-It Notes feature a special type of adhesive that sticks to surfaces without bonding. The secret to this unique adhesive are microspheres, discovered accidentally by a 3M scientist named Dr. Spencer Silver. The self-stick notes' utility was discovered by a fellow 3M scientist named Art Fry who joined forces with Silver, in the hopes of developing a type of adhesive that would stick to book pages without causing damage.

Their efforts paid off and then some; Post-It Notes went onto become one of the top-selling products of the 1980s. Over a quarter of a century later, they're still the leading self-stick note, now made with a plant-based adhesive to reduce each note's carbon footprint.
