Description

Bread lovers can enjoy the refined taste of Sunbeam Giant Bread!

Who Is Little Miss Sunbeam?

First launched in 1942 and marketed in New Bedford, Massachusetts, Sunbeam Giant Bread has provided big bread flavors for big appetites. But perhaps the most notorious thing about Sunbeam isn't their giant bread, but their famous mascot, Little Miss Sunbeam. In 1942, an illustrator was commissioned to draw a mascot for Sunbeam Giant Bread, and she submitted hundreds of different sketches and illustrations before coming across a little girl in southern Indiana who would become the inspiration for the Little Miss Sunbeam illustration.

What Is Enriched Bread?

Sunbeam Giant Bread is an enriched, giant bread, which means it's made with refined, white flour. Manufacturers produce white flour by removing the bran and the germ of the wheat kernel. The resulting inside of the kernel is then ground into a fine flour. This process of removing the bran and germ does result in a loss of nutrients; however, manufacturers will replenish the lost nutrients later in the manufacturing process except for the lost fiber. The nutrients added back to the enriched bread include thiamine, niacin and riboflavin. These B vitamins offer a number of health benefits, including healthy nervous system functioning, vision, energy and skin and also better food digestion, which encourages the development of a healthier appetite and prevents you from overeating. This prevention of overeating can lower the chances of developing diseases such as diabetes and heart disease.

Dairy-Free Bread Benefits

Sunbeam Giant Bread is a dairy-free giant bread. Dairy-free bread provides you with a number of health benefits. Cutting down on dairy intake can help you develop clearer skin, can prevent reactions caused by milk allergies and sensitivities, can improve your digestive health and can also aid you in losing weight.
