For any infant under 24 pounds or two years of age, contact your doctor to ensure it is okay to give it to them and to find the proper dosage.
What Is the Active Ingredient in Baby Pain Relief?
The active ingredient in baby fever relief is acetaminophen, the same active ingredient of name brand TYLENOL. You should check the label to ensure that there are no ingredients to which your child may have an allergy.
Some children show an allergy to acetaminophen. If your child shows symptoms such as skin reddening, blisters or rashes, discontinue use and contact your pediatrician immediately.
What Is the Infant Pain Reliever Dosage?
You should always verify dosage requirements with the packaging or with your child’s pediatrician. Typically, children who weigh 24-35 pounds and are two to three years old should take approximately 5 milliliters at a time. It would be best if you did not give your child more than the prescribed dosage nor should you give your child a dose more than five times in a 24-hour period.
